Annual Golf Tournament Showcases International Field of Sportsmen
The fifty-ninth annual Eastern Amateur Golf Tournament was held at the Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club. A field of 168 golfers from the United States as well as South America, Europe, and Australia participated in the event. The rain-shortened 54 hole tournament was won by James Clark of Georgia Tech in a sudden death playoff with second place finisher Danny Yustin. The Low Mid-Amateur was Elizabeth Manor's own Adam Horton. Proceeds from the tournament go to fund scholarships for outstanding area high school students.
